The Journey
William Brooks: From Prideful Blindness to Humble Awakening, Proclaiming YaHU’aH’s Truth
William Brooks, known as "The Clown," is a Los Angeles native whose journey from prideful self-centeredness to a humble awakening in YaHU’aH’s truth has transformed him into a beacon of inspiration. As the CEO and Founder of Moving Mindset Inc., a minister, author, motivational speaker, youth advocate, life coach, fitness expert, and Army/Navy veteran, Brooks now lives to proclaim the truth of YAHUSHA HaMashiach, as revealed in his blog post, “Don’t* Call Him Jesus. His Name is *Yahusha.” Moving Mindset Ministry Blog. His mission, amplified through Moving Mindset Ministry’s Facebook post, calls believers to worship YaHU’aH in spirit and truth, rejecting false religious systems and embracing the authentic Hebrew names of YaHU’aH and YAHUSHA Moving Mindset Ministry Facebook Post. Central to his testimony is his deliverance from pride—a destructive force he once embodied—through YaHU’aH’s transformative power. All praise to YaHU’aH for this redemption!
Pride’s Blind Destruction
Brooks was once the “poster child for being proudly prideful,” oblivious to the harm his judgmental attitude and self-centered actions caused. He judged others harshly based on first impressions, living as if the world revolved around him. This pride strained relationships, including with his best friend, who was like a brother. After returning from military service, a call from his ex-wife delivered devastating news: his friend had died suddenly from a brain aneurysm. They had recently reconciled after years of estrangement caused by Brooks’ prideful ignorance and hate, but never met again. At the funeral, carrying his friend’s casket and speaking through overwhelming grief, Brooks was consumed by guilt. As a seasoned personal trainer, he could have helped his friend’s health, but his prideful heart had severed their bond, leaving a wound that lingered. All praise to YaHU’aH for using this loss to break his pride!
A Vow to Humility and Forgiveness
Driven by regret, Brooks embarked on a mission to seek forgiveness from those he had wronged, vowing never to let pride hinder reconciliation again. This commitment to humility became critical during a 2009 wrongful arrest for “felony kidnapping” after attempting to connect with his son, facing a 25-year prison sentence. As detailed in his book, Prison,* Prayer, Provision, Purpose: Discovering Destiny in *Darkness (ISBN: 978-1-387-52250-7, 2018) Available via Amazon, Brooks had to release pride and self-righteousness to trust YaHU’aH’s deliverance. His case was dismissed in the interest of justice, a testament to YaHU’aH’s mercy. Brooks now passionately urges repentance, warning against the pride that blinds people to their faults and blocks forgiveness, as illustrated in Mattityahu (Matthew) 18:23-35. The parable of the unforgiving servant teaches that YaHU’aH forgives our unpayable debt of sin, but we must forgive others, or face eternal consequences. All praise to YaHU’aH for teaching him to forgive as he was forgiven!
The Shift: YaHU’aH’s Call to Humility
A pivotal moment, described in Chapter 6 of his book, occurred in jail during a transfer. Inmates of different races thanked Brooks, saying, “You encouraged me to believe. You encouraged me to read my Bible and pray.” His quiet devotion to prayer and scripture, despite prison segregation, inspired others, revealing YaHU’aH’s purpose to use him humbly for others’ upliftment. This “Shift” marked his calling to minister YaHU’aH’s truth, free from pride’s shackles. All praise to YaHU’aH for humbling him to serve!
Awakened to YAHUSHA—Truth
Brooks’ ultimate awakening came through a “horrendous dream/vision,” as shared in his blog, revealing that “Jesus” is a mistranslation and the Messiah’s true name is YAHUSHA, meaning “YaHU’aH is Salvation” Moving Mindset Ministry Blog. This truth, rooted in Hebrew linguistics, stripped away his prideful reliance on religious traditions. As Moving Mindset Ministry’s Facebook post declares, Brooks calls believers to “come out of her” and worship YaHU’aH in ruach and truth, embracing YAHUSHA’s authentic identity Moving Mindset Ministry Facebook Post. All praise to YaHU’aH for unveiling His name!
Empowering Others with YaHU’aH—Truth
After his release, Brooks resigned from law enforcement in 2016, led by YaHU’aH to mentor youth humbly. In 2018, he founded Moving Mindset Inc., impacting lives globally, and coached the Unbreakable Knights football team to a 6-5 record. He revitalized Tapout Fitness in Dallas, Georgia, until its 2021 closure, then opened Moving Mindset Fitness in Paulding County in 2022, a faith-based club fostering physical and spiritual growth in YaHU’aH’s truth. All praise to YaHU’aH for guiding these humble endeavors!
A Ministry of Humility and Truth
Today, Brooks is a full-time minister, urgently proclaiming YAHUSHA HaMashiach and preparing others for His return. His journey—from prideful blindness to a wrongful arrest to a humble leader—reflects YaHU’aH’s truth, even when His name was unknown. Through Moving Mindset Inc. and Moving Mindset Ministry, he challenges prideful attitudes, urging repentance and forgiveness. Brooks warns, as in Mattityahu (Matthew) 18:23-35, that refusing to forgive as YaHU’aH forgives risks eternal condemnation. He calls all to forsake pride, seek forgiveness, and live in humility, for their souls’ sake. In these times of tribulation, all praise to YaHU’aH for transforming Brooks into a vessel of His truth, proclaiming YAHUSHA’s name and the call to worship in ruach and truth!
